Since 1994, Custom Log Homes Ltd. has partnered with Okanagan University College (OUC) in offering Log Home Construction Courses for both Domestic and International students.

OUC is a comprehensive, publicly funded, post- secondary institution, serving the region from Revelstoke in the north, through the Shuswap and Okanagan Valleys, to the Boundary-Similkameen area.
OUC operates five campuses with two in Kelowna and others in Penticton, Vernon and Salmon Arm.
Custom Log Homes ltd.:
Custom Log Homes Ltd. is a private company, owned and operated by its founder, Howard Williamson. Located minutes from the Salmon Arm downtown, Custom Log Homes Ltd. specializes in hand crafted Log Homes. In business since 1984, Custom Log Homes has produced more than 200 Log Homes, shipping over 125 to Japan, several to the United states and a few to Germany.
In partnership with OUC since 1994, Custom Log Homes has developed an excellent reputation for quality instruction.
This program recognizes the fact that participants learn by doing. Participants will be given a solid grounding in the theory of Log Home Construction in conjunction with the hands on practical training required to see a project through to completion.
This course is ideal for individuals wishing to learn the skills and techniques to enable them to construct a Log Building from the ground up. More importantly, individuals wishing to make a career in the Log Home construction industry will find this program especially useful.
This program takes place in the Custom Log Homes production yard, students will be building a real, full scale log home project building, right alongside professional crews.

$4,900.00 Canadian Dollars (includes use of all major equipment such as chainsaw, scribers etc.) Students are required to supply some small personal items.
