We also produce a style of Log building known as "Post & Beam"

The style of Post & Beam that we produce is a "Natural Log" Post & beam.

We flatten the logs on 2 sides, the other sides retain the natural log surface.

 The sections between the log posts and beams are framed with conventional 2x6 framing.

This style of building has lots of advantages;

Its much more versatile from a design viewpoint,

Much more flexible for decorating, more decorating options.

 There's more conventional frame walls, with conventional paint or wallpaper finishes on them.

They still retain their "woodsy" feel, without being too over-powering.

Easier re-sale. A full log home might appeal to only 5 or 10% of the market, a Natural  Log post & beam will appeal to a much higher percentage of the population.

This style of building is quickly gaining in popularity. As recently as 5 years ago, Post & Beam was less than 10% of our work.

In 2006, over 60% of our work was Natural Log, Post & Beam.
